AA Stream: an alternative for AA Mirror. Hi, I'll keep this short, so I got a new car with Android Auto and found out about AA Mirror soon after. With a little bit of struggle I got it to work, but noticed that it had a few bugs, was not usable without Phenotype Patcher and hasn't been updated for over a year.

I used AA mirror though Android Auto Apps Downloader (AAAD). I believe it also installs Screen2Auto. No root required, just dowload AAAD and pick which apps you want installed in AA. Running an S20+ with everything up to date. Not sure if its achieving the same thing you are but was pretty easy to do.

Jun 4, 2023 As I tap on AA Mirror plus app on the car android auto. It shows black screen. The request doesn't show on mobile. If I open the same app on mobile accept for screen share request is seen. Once I accept, nothing happens and it is black screen on android auto display. I am using Samsung S23 Ultra with android version 13. Please help on this.

same issue here. i have a oneplus 10t and a hyundai tucson. android auto works, all the apps show on the list, but only audio files work. it seems that video files on internal memory don't work. when it comes to video apps, such as cartube, carstream, s2a, when started, i keep receiving the message "no new messages during this drive".
My guess is Car Stream is preempting AA, and so you're getting a blank screen. I'd try uninstalling Car Stream, and reboot your phone, so to see if it makes a difference for AA.
