Feb 2, 2018 J ust like FreeBSD, OpenBSD comes with pkg_add command. It is used to install a binary or upgrade packages from HTTP or FTP mirror over the internet. If you have purchased OpenBSD DVD/CD, you can install packages using CD itself. The pkg_add command used to update existing packages too.
Aug 8, 2018 PXE is acronmy for Preboot Execution Environment. You need to use PXE to boot a server from the network, rather than from a CD/DVD or hard disk. Usually, PXE booting is done using ROMs on the NIC of the server. OpenBSD can be installed using PXE.

Sep 15, 2022 ftp is the user interface to the Internet standard File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The program allows a user to transfer files to and from a remote network site. The latter four usage formats will fetch a file using either the FTP, HTTP, or HTTPS protocols into the current directory. This is ideal for scripts.
$ host ftp.eu.openbsd.org ftp.eu.openbsd.org is an alias for ftp.su.se. [...] It's just an alias for Stockholm University's ftp server. They may have agreed to mirror OpenBSD but that doesn't mean their servers need to run it.

Apr 22, 2019 You bumped into something that happens before every OpenBSD release. OpenBSD is developed on a "single track": the source tree is tagged as 6.4, a release is made, developments continue for about 6 months and are made available as snapshots, until the devs find that things have changed and are stable enough to warrant a new release, at which point the tree is tagged as 6.5 and so on.
