Our mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. Family Promise of Albuquerque is a non-profit organization that assists families who are at risk for homelessness, currently experiencing homelessness or recently exiting homelessness.

Our innovative solutions include homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, stabilization, and housing. We change our name, from Interfaith Hospitality Network of Albuquerque to Family Promise of Albuquerque, to reflect our affiliation with the national office and the broad range of programs aligned with our vision of ending family homelessness.

PROACTIVE SOLUTIONS. Family Promise of Albuquerque offers a variety of strategies to ensure the people we serve do not fall into the cycle of housing instability that can devastate families and alter the course of childrens lives.
Family Promise of Albuquerque hosts events each year to engage support, raise funds and spread the word about our mission to end family homelessness.
Family Promise of Albuquerque has 3 inter-dependent components that build community and address and solve the problem of family homelessness one family at a time. The 3 components are a 60-90 day shelter, a day center, and a minimum of 18 months of follow-up services.
94 % of the people served in the shelter program secure housing within an average of ninety days. Because of the depth of services and community support, families stay housed, and Family Promise of Albuquerque provides both prevention and stabilization services to increase our impact.
We can provide shelter for up to four families at a time for 60-90 days in the Interfaith Hospitality Network. We provide the shelter by partnering with 19 congregations around Albuquerque. These congregations of different faiths convert classrooms into bedrooms for one week at a time.

Family Promise of Albuquerque's Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) program provides transitional shelter for families with children. Families are sheltered in faith congregations which furnish clean, safe, overnight lodging in their facilities, nutritious meals, and family fun activities. Each family has their own private space to stay together.

Family Promise of Albuquerque/ Day Center. Our day center is open to any families in need regardless of whether they are residing in our shelter. We offer intensive case management, tutoring, individual job search assistance, computer usage, life skills and parenting classes.
