Jan 11, 2021 Since long years im shooting M42 cameras, mostly fully mechanical SLRs. Praktica Super TL Mk1, Praktica Nova IB, Praktica LTL and MTL cameras, Fujica ST cameras, Zenits, Spotmatics. Each camera of these a joy to use ! But a Yashica TL Electro X never crossed my way. Now i have to make up leeway.

Nov 30, 2018 The following images were made in Hartlepool with two Fujica ST-901 cameras. The first 6 images were from the silver camera mounted with an Asahi Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8. Film used was Ilford FP4 and Rollei RPX100, both developed in XTOL. I damaged a frame, but I feel the damage adds rather than subtracts on this occasion.

Mar 15, 2017 Fujicas m42 screw mount lenses can be mounted on the Fujica X cameras with an adapter (they have to be used at stopped down aperture), and Fujicas X-Fujinon lenses can be mounted on modern Fujifilm X cameras such as the XT-1 or the XT-2 via an adapter (Kiwi and Fotodiox have one, Ive not tested them yet).

Sep 5, 2023 I can't speak to Fujica or Practica....never had or used them. To me the best M42 mount camera, is the last of the Pentax screw mounts...the Pentax ES ll. I have one, have had since '74 . Bought it new. No issues. four batteries a bot of a pain though, expense, etc. Great camera, and it was ahead of its time. Mine is black with a 50mm F 1.8.

Aug 29, 2009 The Canon FTb/FTbN/TLb/F-1/F-1n etc. take an adapter which allow M42 lense to reach infinity focus. The F-1 has a horizontal shutter but the curtains are titanium so you have your metal. Minolta SLRs also have an adapter for M42 lenses. The XD-11 and XD-5 models have a vertical metal shutter.
