Harris County Eviction Defense Program will aid any qualifying tenant who is facing eviction, and is seeking legal advice, the opportunity to meet with an attorney or legal representative at the court where the tenants eviction case is held (Justice Court or County Court at Law).
Harris County and the City of Houston are working together to serve as a resource to community organizations that help people facing eviction. The program provides rental assistance to eligible and approved tenants for past due rent, utilities and up to 2 future months to help prevent eviction.
